Chrome extension to automatically mute/unmute ads on JioCinema during IPL matches

A friend built this extension, sharing on their behalf

Description: This extension automatically mutes the volume when ads appear during IPL matches. Also it puts a dark layover over the video player when the ads are playing. You can disable the layover from the extension popup if you don't want it to appear. Please refresh the JioCinema page, after adding/enabling the extension.

Because of some technical issues it isn't deployed it to the chrome web store. Until that's sorted out, there is an alternate way to add the extension to browser:

or follow below steps:

1. Download the zip file from this link: https://github.com/sivunq/mute-jiocinema-IPL-ads/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

2. Unzip the downloaded file.

3. Open the extensions page in chrome browser (chrome://extensions/). Enable developer mode (a toggle button on top right side) in the same page. Drag and drop the unzipped folder in the extensions page. Disable the developer mode.

4. Refresh the JioCinema page if it was already opened.
