Have been seeing the rise of crime especially road related usually to extort money in Bangalore. I'm wondering if we have a social groups that can help in such situations? If yes, please comment below. Police seems to have negligible presence in the city.
Agreed. Have seen dashcam videos on Twitter where 2-3 bikes stop and harass cars, hit on the windshield and threaten by sticks. The one incident where 2 bikes followed a car from Marathahalli till their gated society was scary. Also heard tweets where people impersonating police patrol harassing couples and extorting money at night.
Yes! And therefore, I was wondering if we should think of setting up a Citizen4Citizen kind of social group for a vetted community to help each other - if we don't have such groups already.

Knowing whenever something such happens (area, incident) and what recourse was taken, the resolution would be helpful. Any helpful precautions to take;
