Cognizant Salary for Freshers

Don’t even ask the Cognizant salary for freshers yaar. It is so demotivating. It’s not even 1 LPA. I had no option back then. As soon as Cognizant gave me the offer letter, I grabbed it. Of course, I will be forever grateful for the opportunity they gave me, learned a lot from my superiors, but the salary was really not enough.

You want to work at Cognizant? The company though is good. But, I have heard the work culture can be a little toxic, but I think that’s the case in most of the big companies in India. Cognizant salary for freshers actually depends on the different job roles. I looked it up on the internet and it showed that the salary range is between 0.75 LPA and 20 LPA.

There are various departments in Cognizant that freshers can apply for jobs. In Cognizant salary for freshers with software engineering roles will have an average net pay of ₹4.2 lakhs a year in Bangalore, ₹4 lakhs in Chennai, ₹4.1 lakhs in Hyderabad and Pune respectively, while ₹3.8 lakhs will be paid in Kolkata.

Salaries for freshers or Juniors in the IT sector in Bangalore are expected to be 4.3 lakhs per annum, while figures for Chennai are expected to be 4.1 lakh, and Hyderabad will be 4.2 lakh in that order. 4 lakhs are offered by Pune whereas 3.9 lakhs is offered by Kolkata for freshers.

Among the various divisions under the department of geography, the Department of Customer Success, Service & Operations has the least revenue generation where the fresh recruits are offered approximately 3.8 Lakhs per year in Bangalore and 3.7 Lakhs in both Chennai and Hyderabad, 3.8 Lakhs in Pune and 3.6 Lakhs in Kolkata.

Freshers at Cognizant usually get around 4.5 to 6.5 lakhs per annum. This is similar to TCS and Infosys. Appraisals vary, but don't expect a fixed percentage.
