Getting out of the rut
At what age and net-worth (house, cash and investments all included) do you consider retiring? Perhaps answer in the format: "age", "money"
How does one achieve these numbers? I find it difficult with current cost of living? What salary and saving rate would one need to have?

There are a lot of factors that add in to your retirement calculations :
1. Monthly expenses today and post retirement
2. Where do you wanna retire. Metro city versus rural area
3. Do you have ancestral wealth/home
4. How many dependents do you have
5. Chronic illnesses and history of chronic illness in the family for OPD care after retirement (some medical insurance don’t cover this and it will add up to your expenses)
6. Do you have a partner that earns money
So there is no one size fits all.
In my case, it’s 6cr at age 50 but then again I don’t plan to not work after retirement, I plan to work for 2-3 hours a day in the capacity of an external consultant. Simply because I can’t not work at all 😅 hope this helps!
