Iphone worshipped in india

I bought an S23 Ultra last year. When I told then that it cost me 1.3L, I legit got some looks as if they were disgusted. Some straight up asked me "Who even buys an android at such high price?" Little do they know, my phone outperformed the latest iPhone there was at that point of time which was the 14 series. Moreover, I'm happy with my purchase decision and that's what matters at the end of the day.

Everyone to his own? Why we need to judge. Some people live for future, others YoLo. Both can survive.

Your friends are trash. Honestly any group of sane people won't care for the phone you carry, unless it's something for clicking pics in which case iPhone, Pixels and Samsung high end phones are looked out for. All (infact majority) people are not iphones hoggers. Also many iPhone owners have genuine use case (like they have the money to buy such expensive phones and are used to apple ecosystem). Lastly iPhone is great but also sucks. It cannot cut incoming call without some "manoeuvres". It's battery life is meh and charging is slow given the price. And no charger included is a no no.

I find iPhone as an involuntary step down from good status because people buy it only for that. Too pricey and they come out as desperate to show status

Everyone in my family has one and keep pushing me to get. But Android has worked well for me, the apps, battery life, storage, syncing - half the things iphone doesn't do and still people carry on because "status"

That's one of the first things that people notice and some have this notion that anything else apart from the iPhone is meh. With 24 months no cost emi or other offers, accessibility has increased so a lot of folks are purchasing it just to be part of that crowd.

I have that one friend who has android and my group of friends make sure to bring that up in conversation 😜. He has a >1L android phone. I love the simplicity of apple devices and have built an ecosystem; cannot move to android now.

People will even get a run down iPhone5 or 6, just to show off that logo.

Brainwashed by marketing - most people. A 2nd hand 2yr old iPhone is just as good and 30k android will fit most of your needs. Make yourselves wealthy, not the tech companies.

Not a single friend of mine owns an Android at this point. Everyone migrated, even the "geeks". I constantly get iPhone recommendations. But not a single one gives a proper justification. "Bro, Camera" - camera is same if not worse than comparable Samsung flagships. Now if you'll compare it to 15k Android phones, obviously it'll look better. "Bro, UI" - Android UI is leagues ahead, specially with all the launchers and customisation options. I would never understand how people trade the VFM, customisation and features which Android provides for a phone which just last year woke up to .. type C. In the end, it's just a status symbol - even though almost everyone has one now.

Literally none of my friends or relatives who have or don't have iphones ever ask me why I haven't bought a certain thing yet. You need new friends.

I switched from an iPhone to s23 last year. It's been a great decision!!
