Deloitte appraisal season 2024

Hi All, I joined Deloitte in Nov,2023. During my joining i negotiated with the HR regarding the increment of my base pay as it was too less. HR gave me two options, 1. Either take a joining bonus of 50k with the same package, 2. Or be eligible for the next appraisal cycle i.e. april 2024.

I wondered if my efforts in the project will be recognised or not by the end of april. So i choose to take the joining bonus with the same package.

The HR has left the firm and i am not sure whom to ask and approach regarding the appraisal query. Will i still be ineligible for an appraisal of even 5-10% this year?

In my opinion, you've made a tactical error by choosing the immediate gratification of a joining bonus over a potential long-term gain from an appraisal. However, the past is past. Now, your best course of action is to approach your current HR or your manager. They are the ones who can provide clarity on this issue. Remember, in corporate life, not asking the right questions at the right time can cost you. So, don't hesitate.

A lot of factors go in this, what's your designation, what's your YOE, what's your utilisation %, how much of fight will your coach/line manager put up for you, do have all snapshots filled out, etc....

I am not sure what the HR was referring too, but everyone is eligible for a hike, you won't get a lot, but your percentage won't be good. I would say the 50k sign on it good.

Yes true. I mean, i am still getting less work as compared to my seniors. That's what i was scared of initially I thought what if my deliverables will be less and won't get enough hike , hence i chose the 50k as joining bonus

You took good decision of taking the joining bonus, in corporate no body assure the things that going to happen in future, it very worst hr team and others. One thing need to learn in corporate, no one helps once you're fu*ked

I think if you negotiate further, you can get the proportionate amount of bonus.

Appraisal cycle and average bonus @Delloite India

Hi All Does anybody know what would be the appraisal cycle for delloite India in regulatory and financial risk practice. Also if someone could tell me the average bonus payout as a percent of CTC that would be really helpful.

Thanks.
