RuPay cards - pros & cons
What do you think are the positives and negatives of using RuPay cards, which have increased in circulation?
I'm trying to figure out the mindset of people who would be the target audience for companies that run on Cashbacks such as Cred, CashKaro, Cheq, Credit cards, etc.
Yes. Haven't used Cashkaro Cheq though
Cheq is heavily devalued so it's pointless. CashKaro is great because it gives actual cashback in bank but it is so mindnumbingly manual process that I forget to use it most of the time.
More like Payback earlier, it got bought and stopped being good
Used to. But not now.
For out of the way thing: Prefer a grocer a bit far away because he accepts credit card to many nearby who doesn't. I have migrated most of my spends to credit cards, but don't necessarily reach out for milestone benefits.
Regarding other apps: I Check for lowest prices for cabs, ECOM, groceries, food deliveries, tickets even now. But won't subscribe to random NBFC line or get new credit cards for cashbacks. Never used Simpl etc
I don't go out of my way to use cashbacks often but if I were to calculate how much I could have saved vs effort put in while shopping is certainly something I should try.

Has anyone ever won anything on Cred jackpot in the last year or so? I feel they are utterly useless and only for engagement .
PS: Not talking about Rs 3/- cash back.
TLDR: Folks in r/CreditCardsIndia have found massive marketing gimmicry by Cred's marketing campaign where they're paying people's credit card debts
I have lost money in multiple payments, they just never got completed and no refund. Customer care services are more pathetic.
