Does reading many books blocks original thinking?

A balance between consumption and creation helps creativity stay intact. Getting bored is very important. Forces brain to think. Blogging, writing , journalling, Public speaking, etc helps in giving form to these thoughts.

R u reading books bcoz everyone advised u or u enjoy it? If u enjoy it then it doesn’t matter what others think & if u r doing it bcoz some one advised then of course it’s blocking ur original thinking..

Yes, getting multiple perspectives help us a lot. But I think it also affects us from having our own. In the non-scientific topics there is no single solution or idea that’s correct all the times and for all the people. In such case when you read more books will it not affect you to think over again and again and form your own opinion and move forward?
