I think it's true for everyone. Almost everyone is creative, just a matter of tapping into it.

True. Creative people need to draw a lot from their environment and experience. These get synthesised when they are seemingly doing nothing or are not actively occupied.

True. Creativity needs time to think. If u don't have that time and space and you are merely reacting to requirements, there isn't much space left

It’s a bit of a misdirect tbh. I think the “do nothing” in this case refers to not having active tasks on your plate, so your subconscious mind is free to explore and connect the hidden dots - leading to creativity.

It’s not that you’re really doing nothing. The mind always keeps working in the background - it just needs to right environment to do good creative work.

Then again, some people are more creative when under stress - either emotional or due to a deadline. So to each their own.
