Being creative is a curse

It feels like there's no space for creative people in tech anymore. Everything is either a wormhole which sucks the creative energy out of you, or you end up working a job that's so taxing on you mentally that you never have the space take on hobbies or follow your passions.

Getting jobs themselves is a challenge. People see creativity is such a uni-dimensional manner that it is hard to get jobs in startups or otherwise. I've been attempting a job switch for a while now either there are no openings or no one is willing to hire.

Is there a solution to this madness?

You might want to look at going outside India for creative jobs

Unfortunately most big tech companies don’t have their creative teams in India. The opportunities are very less to begin with.

I’ve found solace in highly technical products that need to be simplified for common users like AR, MR, Blockchain infrastructure (not crypto shilling but core infra) which are creatively challenging but also needs me to understand a little about the tech if not for how much the devs understand.

I’ve heard time and again from my seniors that deep tech needs more creative people. Maybe something you might want to check out.
