Don't understand people who want to eat unhealthy food but make it 'healthy'

If you wanna cheat, cheat properly

Its not about cheating na. The underlying premise is that truly healthy foods are really hard to move on to consistently , especially if you’re someone whose current diet is full of unhealthy foods. You will eat steamed broccoli maybe for 2 weeks regularly but since the habit formation curve is so difficult you will probably revert back to your usual burger/chips/coke etc after a while. A better way is to eat a healthy version of whatever junk you eat. Though its not the right long term approach, its still better than eating pure junk. There are levels to fitness intensity and those on the lowest level (ie think your sedentary office workers or lazy parents etc) are probably better off incorporating something like this into their routine than trying to go on a full on “pure” diet and then failing miserably and reverting to old habits. This product probably caters to those ( and not the more fitness enthusiasts who are okay eating steamed chicken for gainz)

The product in pic does not necessarily seem more healthier
314 kcal , 18.1g sugar / 100g
vs
370kcal , 15.5g sugar /100 g in betty crocker

Instead of that fancy gladful with powdered banana , if one just adds sliced banana as toppings & eats one less pancake , would be more healthy? (Gladful is 1.8x the cost)

Another dark pattern I see is these brands claiming zero added sugar and then sweetening the product with honey / dates etc
Mostly I see these new healthy for you brands aren't making that much difference vs the normal products .. seems marketing ploy instead of genuinely coming up with better products
