Smart spend

Need some sensible inputs.

I come from a poor background, but somehow I worked extremely hard and now I earn decently well (above 60 LPA cash). My problem is- I don’t mind spending on others. In fact I don’t even think twice before taking my card out and buying things for family or friends. I have also lent money to multiple people when they are in need of help (total close to about 2-3 lakhs). But it doesn’t bother me even a bit. I don’t even care about whether I’ll get it back or not. But, when it comes to me, I find myself struggling so much and questioning my decision to buy things even as cheap as INR 200-300. And most of the times I find myself going extra miles to save a few bucks. In fact, I also recently downgraded from a bigger to smaller apartment, because I have been doing so much maths around saving 7-8K a month. Maybe there is some part of me that feels that I don’t deserve any of this. Anyone has any idea how to fix this?

Think outside the box. Don’t say you’ll put in fd. I’ll spend it on- 1. Buying a house 2. Investing in a few startups who’re truly trying to change the status quo 3. Go on a one month euro tour

I’ve noticed different people have different ways to approach their financial planning. Hoping to learn from each other and perhaps help others who read as well.

I get around 54k every month in my account and I save close to 25k every month. I’m a fresher 2023 passout working as a SDE - Backend. My friends always wants me to go out with them every weekend to play badminton or to just chill. This costs me around Rs500-1000 every week. The thing is I don’t like going out plus I’ll be saving extra 2500Rs. Also, I’m focused on increasing my CTC currently. How to ditch them every weekend? Or should I just stop being friends with them? PS: I strongly believe in earning more and saving more, plus I like to keep my lifestyle inflation to the lowest.

Is it worth buying the Samsung s23ultra of cost 80k in Amazon prime sale today?(20/07/2024) I'm earning arround 45k and I'm already paying 20k for my car loan. And If I buy the phone in emi it is showing arround 8900/month Should I buy or not?

I have been pursuing some aspirational products like Apple Watch SE, Airpods Pro 2, PS5 etc. since a long time. I go to the Amazon page and add it to cart but then my conscience questions me as to is it worth spending so much on it? I earn decently and live in BLR but still I dont fully understand to give my mind a valid reason for purchasing a 40k Watch that shows time, some metrics and some automation. Also 20k for listening music, 50k for playing games. It feels as if is it sane to spend much on these personal material stuff? How do you folks look at this while making purchases?

Coming from a middle class struggling family I find it really hard to spend money on rent,buyi g things which can increase my productivity and improve lifestyle,just graduated last year and earn around 1.2lpm in blr,I rather invest my whole salary I'm mf/stocks in this bull run How can I invest on stuffs that I actually need?
