I writing my thoughts about me(26 years) , I am web developer with 3.5 years right working at Amazon as web developer contract employee ending in Dec , looking for full times roles to join right now , I from a petroleum engineering background (2019 passed out ) later learnt software engineer frontend mostly from my brother's help & through online resources built personal projected ,started career in 2020 by  joining a MNC as contractor developer worked there 4 months in 2020, then joined another startup their for 3 months , then 8 months at a startup , then 1 year 8 months at us startup but had a layoff in Feb , then joined Amazon contract through a referal( current  CTC 12LPA). Not sure where will I work next ? Sometimes I feel lost & have imposter sendrome like in close to 4 years what have I learnt & excelled?when will I earn more ?

But I have a many ambitious like built my own startup , write articles and earn, travel for treking , become fit, become a indie hacker , speak at conference internationally as well, work at top startups & innovate things?

 Not sure how to plan things & grow in my career ? Maybe 1 or 2years before marriage ? Not sure how I plan to have a stable job and grow in my career with better salary before marriage?

Not sure where I am heading, what will be my future?

I am 23M working in a well renowned Fintech startup. Have got what I have dreamed of in college like high ownership, good pay and other similar things. But lately realized that I can't do these things for my majority of life. Although I enjoy my work but still feeling lonely and aimless.

Previous to September it was remote but now they have made it hybrid and I have to reallocate to Gurgaon and now I am feeling more lonely and aimless in life.

Have tried travelling and other stuffs inorder to find interest in life but nothing excites me.

I'm working from Home from past 8 years out of my 14 YOE. 
we don't have an ODC or seats allocated thus no option to goto office. 
During the initial days, I felt blessed about this WFH and lately it impacts my work life balance. 
I binge eating and binge watch tv shows when there's no priority work.

I feel I don't have any motivation to learn anything and also feel disconnected whenever I meet another techie. 

How do you all cope with WFH?

Was analysing my trades over the last 3 years to understand my best and worst trades ever, then coupled that with my "Trade Diary" to see what were the difference of thoughts between both trades. 

I was levered heavily on these F&O trades by holding a margin position. Made ~73k that day with a Capital at Risk/Trade under 25k at all times.

I have since left F&O, I have found better use of my time elsewhere and taxation on F&O income is not worth it anymore to me. 

What about you all? Any trades/lessons to share for all of us?

10 years of schooling, studying hard during festivals, sacrificing my playtime, my childhood for marks..
2 years of high school - Completely cut-off from the world for a good college.
4 years of hard work for a job for a below average salary!!!

On the other hand:
Some random chai wala earns in lakhs.
Some MLM meme girl, living a luxurious lifestyle.
Insensible people are valued in society.
Even a 12th fail selling beer in his family shop lives a better life.

All the hard work I did is in vain? Whatever I did till this point of time was useless? What's the point of an endless struggle, if my destination has more struggle? Something is really wrong..

I have lost all my motivation 😞

I am a regular 3.5 yr exp web dev. I joined Grapevine, just to express my inner thoughts and it's much better to be anonymous.

I got stuck in a void !!! Rn what I a getting is much less as per my experience. The daily routine seriously makes me feel I am a worthless and unskilled person. The type of person who if quits his job will never find another all because I am not good at anything. The main fight is I want to switch to some PM or consultant role but I am filled up with self-doubt and scared of thinking that I am unskilled regular labour, who has somehow gotten into IT...

Whether you call it self doubt/laziness /indiscipline things are not helping me to grow and crack a new job with a better daily routine.

Appreciate your suggestion/feedback.

But please help me and suggest to me how can I get into a technical consultant or any managerial role.

It has been 25 days since I got laid off from the startup that I was working for. I have given a few interviews. Got rejected in 1st or 2nd rounds in a few, went till the last round n rejected in a couple and haven't heard back from the HR in a few. Not hearing back, unanswered calls, delays in rounds etc. cause a lot of anxiety and impacts my confidence and preparation levels. How do I tackle it? 
Also, unable to find fresh openings in product/ strategy roles for past few days. This also adds to pressure and uncertainty.

In short, it is a very troubling phase. How do I deal with it? Need enormous help from all of you folks. Would love to hear some great thoughts / insights / hacks too.

Laid off and preparing for interviews

When i was in college i wanted to build my own company/product. Thought of many ideas and tried to build something. None of them worked and it affected my studies so I had to quit just to clear my exams.

After college I took placements in a WITCH like company where I got put into data entry/operations job after clearing difficult coding interviews (kismat kharab?). 
Somehow learnt new technologies on the side and managed to switch to a development role at a lower salary in a startup.

After 3 years Worked hard on DSA and (barely) managed to get a good offer with above average pay. But the company is not stable anymore and may layoff at any time. 
Right now struggling to learn enough DSA to crack any company.
Now I am almost 30, i have no hobbies,no talents, no relationships just trying to have a stable career.

I see people everywhere doing so many things at once. How do they manage to do this.
They are working at FAANG and managing businesses at the same time, have a bunch of friends.
What am I doing wrong?
