What’s with the recent CRED hate on the app
I don’t work for CRED or have anything to do with them but I’ve been seeing a lot anti CRED or Kunal Shah posts here. Did I miss out on some interesting/ entertaining news or is it just a frustrated candidate who didn’t get in or a customer who’s had a bad exp?
If anyone achieves something, automatically he brings on the haters...Even PM Modi has so many haters but he will be PM again in 2024, same holds true for others.
People who failed or can't do something of that scale split frustration over social media
Calm down... Social media is for losers like us. You should get back to work and concentrate building the next big thing. Remind me again how next big thing that you are building will make a dent in my life?

As much as I don’t like the govt or their stances on things they’ve cracked the code in terms of marketing and getting votes. Hating them for that is kinda pointless. Hate them for their policies or stances. Make your voice heard and try making a difference that’s another thing.
Hate the game not the player kinda thing.
I never held a credit card despite its convenience. Can anyone tell me how the creamiest and the most educated of Indian salaried people are willing to give out their data for 🥜. Is Kunal such a maverick or people such dumb?

The reason why people opt for credit cards is the perks and benefits if used wisely outweighs the cons.
1) Points / Privileges : Pretty much freebies or what you might call a small price for our data.
2) Use your money elsewhere. Credit cards offer you the option to use that money elsewhere and have to pay it back only after that cycle. Meaning if you are lucky or figure out a smart way you can make more money.
3) Helps with CIBIL

I don't hate cred. In fact I like Kunal's insights on Twitter. But I don't like the app.
Cred tries to manipulate its users a lot. They offer average services but in turn end up taking a lot of user data. Its UI makes people think they're performing harmless actions but infact they're giving cred consent on important stuff.
I don't like how it takes control away from the user.

Don’t you think that holds true with any app that we use ?

It's not about 0 or 1. It's about 0.2 or 0.8... Cred just takes it too far.. I've never seen any app do that.

Whenever I check my credit score on Cred I start getting multiple spam calls

That’s the problem with all companies I guess. Basically something they need to work with data security and lead generation for other products.
However since I worked in sales and marketing I kind of understand why they do it. Not ethical but it gives you a huge chunk of your customer base you can tap into.
The CRED hate or any startup hate makes no sense. Request folks to be a bit more logical please. They’re trying to build something helpful. Let them. They’ll get there.

I believe we’ve gotten accustomed to a hate the product or the successful person for all the problems happening.
