Advice on landing first jobs

Hi guys! I recently got laid off from my company. It was a v early strage startup. Need help navigating the job hunting process. I've been applying to a lot of companies but not getting any calls. 🥲 would really appreciate if someone who is/was in the same situation can suggest tips on how to atleast get to interview round 1.

Since the start of this month, I have been applying for different opportunities but haven't received a response from any of them. I am currently a backend developer with 3.5 years of experience at a Fortune 30 company and have been promoted for two consecutive years. I also don't want to use referrals right now because I'm completely unprepared. If you are in job hunt please share your experience.

I was recently impacted by layoff and having 20yrs of exp into application support and service management with last 10yrs grown into a middle management role(limited tech hands-on and no dev experience nor CS background) While I am financially ok atm and can manage staying at home for next 12-24 months, I am not financially independent yet. its getting too boring and I want to get back into some sort of work routine as I am keen on retirement yet. Challenges I am seeing with finding a new opportunity: - The job market seems to be quite restricted for senior roles with that experience - Few that came across were at a substantial low salary. - Some others required significant hands-on experience Thought process:: - While salary is not a major concern, I am not sure if I makes sense to take a pay cut. - Given the speed of tech changes, not sure what kind of learning/certification would be helpful - Even if I do tech self-learning, lack of practical hands-on seems to be a drawback - At 40+ while I am open to work hard and learn, i view is to find a job and learn into it , rather than other wat round Any guidance/pointers would be appreciated. As would any leads/introductions on suitable opportunities you know of.

Hi everyone , its been 1 month since i hv started my job search . I hv taken refs also but nothing is happening neither i am getting calls nor test links. My exp is 2+ my company is a series f startup and has recently laid off and i am completely tensed . Plz suggest some advice . I am a backend engineer. I graduated from college about 3 months back and have been applying, cold emailing and doing everything but things aren't moving- either there are too many applicants, budget is not right or the role is shit. I have good internship experience with established cos. but still unable to land at a good place where I can grow and learn. What shall I do? Do you know if someone's hiring? I have also been thinking about doing masters but not so keen.

Have been trying to apply jobs PM, consulting, BA roles. I am spending hours applying with all the right approaches (reaching out people directly on LinkedIn, referrals, maintaining great profile) reaching out to co-founders, founders directly getting almost 0 responses. Even though Literally doing all the experts suggested things What should I do? have been mentally drained losing confidence on myself, not able to concentrate on anything

My college doesn't have campus placements. I've applied at so many places, naukri.com, indeed, upwork, internshala, LinkedIn but I haven't heard back from anyone. My resume is fine. I have a little bit of prior experience. But I keep getting ghosted everywhere. Any help?

I have been actively applying for marketing jobs, the situation seems very dismal. Packages are pretty low, companies are not ready to pay above 12 lpa. Without an MBA, you will suffer. With an MBA, you will suffer but will have a loan to make life worse. What to do in the next one year to earn more than 30 lakhs

Hey guys, I'm stuck in an MNC currently without any real world project for almost half an year now. I've been building projects on my own and looking for a switch. Since, situation in the market is a little tight, I'm hardly finding any non internship opportunities for freshers. Kindly let me know of any sources or any suggestions on how to move on from here. Seeing my friends getting fired from FAANG co. and still not get any other offer makes me more disheartened. Please help.

I’m a brand marketer with 2.5 years of work ex. My last stint was with a company where I stayed for 3months and currently at the 4th month of my present firm. I am not someone whose looking to switch for money or higher pay check but because of unfulfilling work. In a city like Bangalore where I have absolutely no social life, I look forward to going to work only to see half my team mates chilling. I’ve been trying to find like minded professionals but haven’t been able to connect really with anyone. (I’m Not exactly a pedigree college alumni) I am not interested in dating apps either. As much as I am passionate about marketing and my work I’m Thinking to move towards more product oriented roles or growth. Any suggestion on how to go about this.
