Past academic performance will not hold you back. Forget about it.
Join some company in India where there are ample opportunities for foreign transfers, e.g. consulting companies with onsite opportunities. If you do well in your job, and maintain good relationships with your bosses, you can ask for a transfer to some other country for an onsite project, and you will get it.
Or worst case, when you resign from the company after a couple of years, during the notice period you can negotiate for an onsite transfer, as the condition for taking back your resignation. Often companies will be willing to agree to your demands in such a situation, and even get ready to sponsor your Permanent Residency in the foreign country where you're transferring, if you want to permanently settle there.
So in short, it's a 3 step process:
- Join a company with foreign transfer opportunities
- Do good work and maintain good relationships with bosses
- Ask and negotiate for your foreign transfer
So it's not too hard. Lakhs of Indians get transferred to foreign countries every year, and you can be one of them too.
But now completely forget your past academic performance (and the related insecurities), and never think or mention them again, and get started and concentrate on doing good work in the rest of your future life. Good luck 👍🏽
