Frontend (React, Next js) Fresher Salary

What's the average salary of a self taught frontend developer with 2-3 months of experience building clones of famous websites. And how is the job market for tech, majorly frontend?

I can give my 2 cents on this as I am also a fresher with a lot of interview exp and mostly self taught.

TBH, if we disregard the current scenario and answer based on what it was up to last year, then I would say you can get somewhere around 3-12lpa easily. Disclaimer: It is important to note that this range is based on other stuff like

  1. Company you apply Is it a startup, or MNC, are they product based or service based. If they are product they would def hire a frontend guy for their web product and might give good salary.
  2. Your knowledge and Interviewer If you can just copy paste code from YT tutorials, depending on the interviewer they can ask basic questions and get to know how much you know actually. So based on their requirement, they might overlook or reject you, again, the company where you apply matters. 3.Your soft skills(this is most imp) If you are a person who can persuade a person then you can crack these interviews easily. Most of the cases they won't go hard on you in your interview. They can catch hold of your BS so don't go on rambling about anything. Converse clearly with your interviewer about your past experiences, what direction you want to move ahead, etc.

Build up a story to sell them on. Stories Sell.

By story I don't mean you start with your childhood etc, no one is interested. They are mostly checking few things like: Does the person know what they say in resume? Maybe explain with some examples? What is the thought process of this person when faced with a challenge? How well can he communicate his ideas? Etc. They also know you can learn stuff quickly when hired...So nudge your answers in a way that they can say....This person knows very basicly, but he has shown that he learns quickly and knows to ask the right questions when faced with a challenge.

Basically sell them the idea that working with them is best for both of you.

This is so helpful! How many interviews did you give until shortlist? I'm good with YT tutorial, have done dome 6-7 projects but yet to start applying. I'll be honest and tell that's how I've learnt, is there a problem with that? I'm mostly going to apply at startups
