Good Laptop suggestion

Hello folks 👋

I want to buy a laptop for personal usage. I will be using it mostly for media consumption and web dev.

I have had a very bad experience with windows laptops in terms of hardware and battery life after a year of usage.

Should I buy a MacBook Air with 16gb ram / Macbook Pro or should I trust a non apple laptop and slap a Linux distro on it call it a day ?

Please share your experience or the machine you guys are using.

Ps- I am using a 16 inch Mac with M1 pro and 16gb ram but I feel I am not using it to its full potential hence it might be a waste of money for a personal laptop

Thank you 🙏

Get a Macbook Air. Even the M1 model is good if you could find it in used market. Else just get the M2 Air 13

Don't go with Linux thing unless until it's necessary Macs experience is unmatched

it won't be a wise decision getting 8gb ram laptop nowadays, simply buy the current gen 14in macbook pro with 16gb ram if your budget allows.

8gb is good enough, what is your reasoning behind 16gb?
