Google Recruiting Scene

Can anybody working at Google India, throw some light on what’s happening with Hiring. Seeing some posts related to layoff, people interviewing, people getting ghosted by recruiters after interviews. I’ve seen few people waiting for their interview feedback for few weeks after completing their all interview rounds. Is google going to stop hiring or there are too many candidates applying? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks
