Graduated in 2023, Joining Carelon Global Solutions as an Associate Software Engineer. Need Advice on Tech Assignments and Switching to Product-based Companies!
Hello everyone, I'm a recent graduate from a Tier 3 college with a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. I secured a position as an Associate Software Engineer at Carelon Global Solutions (Legato Health Technologies) with a starting salary of 4.25 LPA.
I have learned that the company offers opportunities in Mainframe development using COBOL, but I am more interested in working on projects involving JavaScript and Python. I am wondering if anyone from the organization can provide insight into whether they strictly assign employees to specific technologies or if there is room for personal preference.
Additionally, I am aiming to transition to a product-based company in the future. Could someone please advise me on the optimal timing for making this switch?
Hey pal I'm in exactly same situation as you let me know if you have any updates
Yup, I got lucky and got a dev project of my language preference
How to do that please tell me as well
2 years tops once you get a promotion. After that it gets stale.
