Guys i am cooked :[

So, I recently interviewed at one company and it went horribly wrong 😕.

What happed was my interviewer asked me to write the code. So, i started screen share and started solving the problem. While i was explaining my initial thoughts on the problem like brute force .. . My interviewer thought i only knew the brute force solution and then he seemed like not interested in even asking me to improvethe solution. Then my screen kind of stuck i couldn't share the screen properly. And then he immediately asked me to reschedule the meeting with hr.. and he cut the call. So, i think he must have thought i didn't know the solution thats why i maybe staged this network problem. Upon contacting the hr, he said he will get back to me to reschedule. Well its never happened.

Have you face this type of rejection where its not your fault but still got rejected despite giving ur 100 %.

Life seems unfair sometimes.

Also, from next time, you can try to communicate better.

Tell the interviewer clearly that first you will outline the brute force solution, and then you will iterate and improve it. And then start describing the brute force.

Success in interviews doesn't only depend upon your technical knowledge and skills, and good communication skills are equally important.

So focus and improve on communication skills too with equal emphasis. Good luck! 👍

  1. You were not able to give your 100% due to luck factors.
  2. Forget it and move on, if he is not cool to give you the benefit of doubt then it's better to not join them.
  3. Never say life is unfair for such petty, dumb reasons, grow up with each experiences
  4. Good luck
