My two cents on this. Not defending anyone and yes if someone has committed a fraud i hope necessary action is taken.....but tbh i don't condone these "open letters"....fact remains that folks like us who are blessed with the skillset and circumstances to get into top startups also have the option of not staying there. Toxic work culture in byjus sales team has been a point of discussion for the last few years and was one of the reasons i didn't apply.
This seems a little too harsh imo cuz businesses go up and down and no one owes you anything cuz you're being fairly compensated (hopefully no salary payment issues).
Imagine how inappropriate it would be for a CEO to write a letter to an employee that they are firing for being incompetent (we all know atleast one in our respective companies)
Again, I'm not defending any actions done by the company or its management. Personally I feel like they mismanaged a lot of things and their auditor resigning is not a great sign.
That being said. Openly bashing someone like this without understanding the entire story( yes their side of the story as well) is not right in my opinion.
Would love to know your take on it folks.

I mean... Let everything go transparent, the slackers and the shitty companies. Only transparency can bring accountability in my opinion, and RN, open letters can do that.

Some next level idiotic take you have. Sick of people trying to play the so called devil's advocate. Stop empathezing with criminals ffs.
What other side of the story do you want to know? This is a clear display of being unethical, fraud and gross incompetence.
Did you even read the thing? They are having payment issues. Holding salaries and TDS.
Neither ceo's nor employees will write open letters until it's extremely fucked up. Everyone understand business and employees know what they are giving up.
What people like you don't understand is basic covenants of trust and empathy.

Why is this not on twitter?
Holding TDS and salaries is very bad. The employees should file case against board and founders

It's really a rarity to be hated this much by all 3 stakeholders at the same time - customers, employees, and investors/lenders.
Byjus is so narcissistic still without any remorse, and he and Divya are still doing interviews with such arrogance and psychopathy that it seems unbelievable.

Good to see mention of some good leaders in Byjus as well in the email whom I worked with and learnt a lot from.
The fall of Byjus started from the day the CTO mentioned in the email joined

People miss writing about companies which byju's acquired and later destroyed entire company. Take toppr.com as example. It was acquired by byju's and within a year ,entire staff of toppr were laid off dept by dept. Don't even understand the logic behind the acquisation of toppr other than founder of toppr buying home of worth crores while his company was getting laid off

That is done mostly to kill the competition, Byju's had a lot of money that they raised from VCs in 2021. 1.5Billion!

Yes, In that case all Toppr employees should have been fired on the first day. Byjus have a long rope to a company which would have otherwise shut down

If anyone still believes byjus might be clean , check out pradeep poonia and his work. I have followed his work for the past 2 years and I'm not at all surprised. I've personally got mail multiple times from byjus both personal and on-campus. This is the fall of the Indian startup ecosystem. How fast the unicorns appeared out of thin air they will vanish alike.i believe Bharat PE , Dunzo , Flipkart and the notorious ZEPTO will end up the SAME...
