How can a non-tech guy get into Business Analytics/Data Analytics?
I have learnt Python, SQL, Tableu and Powerbi, what would be the right path to approach recruiters despite all the rejections because of being from non tech background
Honestly I had not prepared anything specific.
I had recently learnt SQL .. had practiced on hacker rank and some other websites.
Interview was mostly around a task that was given ( Excel task ).
My feedback would be to focus on problem solving and attention to details.
During the interview mostly it would be why you solved something in your way/ or how would you solve it and never what tool/ function/ language you used to solve, at least in analytics.
This is how it was for me.
(These kind of companies hire for long term and would want to invest in your growth)
Also I recently got another offer, the interview was very JD specific and technical SQL/ viz tool. ( This would be a boring job and would get less exposure)
I rejected the recent offer.
But given you are trying to get a job anything would work as a stepping stone or something to grow with.
hey, Thanks for the input, I think this piece of information is a lot for anyone who's starting out will implement the same and let you know if things work out Thanks a ton :)))
I did the same and made it.
Facing rejections might not be coz of you but the market conditions
Can tell us how do you prepare for interviews. Like resources, question etc.
How to actually land a job as a fresher in data analytics??
Please help, I come from a non tech background with an unconventional degree. I tried all, direct applies, cold mailing, referrals, nothing seems to be working!
