Usually the hiring managers/recruiters handle potential hires with care. In today’s day and age - if they liked you and you have the probability of making it. You will receive timely updates. This is basic human nature.

What kind of feedback can an HR give you if the hiring manager -
Says I want to hold off my feedback until I see other candidates.
Says maja nahi aaya.
Might not have had approval for the hire and hence intentionally slowing down the process.
Hope that you become their P0 candidate and therefore do enough R&D on the company, role and expectations that you know what are your chances.
If you have been called for an interview that means that basis the hiring brief between both the hiring manager and the recruiter they felt that you could be a potential candidate for the role. They will usually not tell you this because they need to tame your expectations as a candidate during the overall hiring process. No one wants to have a high maintenance guy in their system.
Rather than waiting for a feedback from the HR - be upfront in asking the interviewer in the interview itself is what is their feedback for you - and see the reactions that you get….😏
