Hello Everyone, I’m a bit confused of what should I make out of this situation Background summary- I have had 2 interview rounds Back to back within 2 days HR couldn’t stop calling for even small queries. Round 1- discussion related to location, roles and responsibilities basic information. Round 2- Interview went well expected compensation was asked and also the question of relocation was asked Which from my understanding was interview went well Since 3 days I have been contacting the HR and she has been giving replies such as still need to get the feedback from the interviewer etc After 3 days I texted her to ask the status update we connected where she mentioned they are currently busy into hiring from another location and need to get the confirmation from the internal team if they are proceeding with this location (the same location where I was considering) although you’re shortlisted but still I will need 2 days to confirm whether they are proceeding ahead with this location.
its means you are back up plan. Since you followed up with them, they are thinking you are either desperate to leave or really want to join thier company. Either way, you are caught in thier fishing line. They will toy around with you, to see if then can catch a better fish. if they find, suddenly your "location preference" will become a problem. If not they will negotiate your salary to bring it lower citing "how accommodative they are to your locational preferences and how it will cost the company"
