When I started started working here, I got 15 earned leaves and 15 carry forward leaves. Initially, I got 4 leaves every quarter. But then once my employment was confirmed I got 5 leaves each quarter. Unfortunately, we don’t have sick leaves’ provision. But, whenever I was under the weather or any other medical emergency or even personal reasons, I managed it from the carry forward leaves.
My friend works at Infosys and he told me that there are 30 total leaves in the Infosys leave policy. 15 are earned and 15 carry forward leaves. He also told me that they don’t have sick leaves, so if they fall sick or if they want to take a personal day off, they can do so by availing of the carry forward leaves. During the probation period, he used to get 4 leaves in every quarter. But, after his employment was confirmed he got 5 leaves every quarter.
Employees are allowed 20–30 days of leave each year, which includes earned leave (EL), sick leave (SL), and casual leave (CL), depending on their service and position. Restricted holidays (RH) are another option that Infosys provides. The Infosys leave policy is usually organized and employee-friendly, supporting work-life balance.
As a former Infosys employee, I found the Infosys leave policy to be fairly flexible. Employees have the right to 20–25 paid leaves annually, including sick and casual leave. 10 or 12 public holidays are also marked. Also, Infosys offers limited holidays, allowing employees to take 2 optional leaves of leave during holidays or other private events. I enjoyed the policy's flexibility, especially during situations where maintaining a balance between responsibilities to one's personal and professional life was important. Preparing early is important still, because it may be difficult to receive approval for leaves taken during busy project times.
