Leave policy at startups

I am interviewing with an early stage startup in Gurgaon. As part of their leave policy, they offer only annual leaves which you earn at a certain rate every month. They do not offer any sick leaves or casual leaves to employees. Is that even legal? Have you heard of similar policies elsewhere?

As a startup owner, the government only mandates us to give around 22 days off per year. All the other leaves are strictly upto the company. The 22 days off are official holidays.

This is even followed in MNCs. I think this is the way how it works

Might sound good, but since 'your leaves' were not tracked, i.e. how much you have available, it just meant people took less of them so...

If annual leaves account for sick leaves count in other places then should be beneficial for u. If not, it’s not illegal. On earning at certain rate… I think this is practiced in startups.
