Interview anchors - Senior product role + Tech background

Suggestions -

  1. Be crystal clear with your past work contributions. If possible use STAR to explain the stuff in a closed loop manner.

  2. Try exhibiting aspects of functional understanding or strategical direction in the roles you played before. Explain why product took that direction and any hypothesis associated with it.

  3. Communication & stakeholders management are two important areas where engineers(not all) take sometime in a new role. Try adding some flavour on these 2 qualities.

  4. Provide some examples where you contributed in NFRs, roadmaps and UATs. This will add to your existing role.

  5. Be yourself, accept that you need to learn new things in a new role.

Feel free to post any queries if you have.

Thanks bhai! The interviews are not set yet. But i was wondering if i am ready or going in a right direction or not. There are so many things on internet to read. Its like flooded with information. SDE roles has a defined direction like code, design etc. In the PM’s role, i found the roapmap to be bit vague.

Thanks for your inputs. Its helpful :)
