Is 2 LPA in-hand salary enough?

I am in the IT industry, living in Noida. I wanted to know from experienced IT professionals if 2 LPA salary is enough for 1 bachelor person. I do not have any family responsibilities as of now! There is an annual bonus of 25k apart from this 2 LPA. I am just curious how much I should expect to get every month?

Akele bande ke liye 2 LPA in hand salary I think is enough. Upar se you don’t even have family responsibilities. I hope you’re not renting any place for living warna thodi dikkat ho sakti hai. Also, you get 25k bonus, it’s nice only. You can also consider investing a portion of your money in mutual funds or stuff like that to get good returns.

It could be if you have no responsibilities on your shoulders. 2 LPA in hand salary for a bachelor is a reasonable amount, who’s not living out of their city for work. Also, if you are a low-maintenance person who doesn’t have a social life, it seems to be a good sum of money.

If you earn 2LPA in hand salary in the IT industry, your monthly salary will be around INR 15,500 to INR 16,600. As a bachelor with no responsibilities so far, it can be a good deal, if you live in Noida and you’re looking for an IT job there. However, if you’re relocating somewhere, say Bangalore, since it has more exposure to IT companies, it can be difficult to manage with the given salary. It is mostly because the cost of living in Bangalore is higher than the cost of living in Noida. Plus, there’s transportation costs. You can live a few years in Noida, in a budget-friendly PG (if you’re new in the city) and manage your expenses wisely. But, if you have a house in Noida, living in a salary range between INR 15,500 and INR 16,600 is not a problem.

If what you have mentioned is correct 2 Lakh Per Annum, you will roughly get around 15k-16k per month. If you own a place (own house) and if you are leaving alone and you don't have any commitments. I would say it is quite enough for living a decent life.

If you are just starting your career now, that's fine. But if you have experience then would say that is not enough and you need to start working on switching.
