ISB grads are just some rich spoilt brats without any proper knowledge. I never hire them , stay clear if I see an ISB alum CV applying for my startup. They bring nothing to the table except some polished English vocab and fake hustle culture. IIMs both tier 1 and 2 are far better than these. Heck even tier 2 bschool alum are also great.

What is ur goal out of an MBA at ISB? That determines the answer to this qn

I want to get into consulting

Then slam dunk ISB is THE place to be. All top tier consulting firms hire extensively from ISB, the training pedagogy at ISB is designed to support critical & structured thinking/problem solving due to which ISBians also make good consultants( network is an added advantage). Unless u have severe financial constraints, dont let fees deter u. I took an edu loan and was able to very easily repay it in a few years.

For consulting, it’s probably the best. 800 people in a batch, about 60-80 get into MBB, that’s an insane conversion
For other fields, not so much Like I’ve seen decent PM outcomes but a lot of people probably didn’t need the MBA to get their (if you look purely from an ROI pov)

That is 10% of the batch only. But some one who have survived through ISB, it is not easy to keep your nerves in control over there. You have to be very clear what you want from ISB becoz switching gears and getting into fomo will not address any of ur aspiration.
40 lakh+ education loan is a huge amount and even after 3 years of graduating, I still feel shivers about my pending debt and where my peers have gone in terms of savings with cheaper degrees 🥺

Hmm, that’s very fair It’s definitely a deep investment and can really be bad for someone coming from a slightly more middle income background if they don’t get a good outcome

Depends on where you want to go. If you want a career in management/generalist roles -absolutely yes.
90% of my friends/acquaintainces that went to ISB have had great career outcomes

Yes it is in my humble opinion

No

Getting an MBA itself isn't worth it. Better to commit suicide than doing an MBA 😇

Lol...why??

I'm assuming based on your other answer that you have an MBA, so it's better not to talk about it. To quote the great Jose Mourinho "if I talk, I get in trouble" but honestly what % of your classmates *actually had business acumen, tried starting their own business before mba, showed passion about solving real world problems and building a sustainable 'dhandha' out of it, have done 0-1 journey soley based on MBA degree"?
