Since the start of this month, I have been applying for different opportunities but haven't received a response from any of them. I am currently a backend developer with 3.5 years of experience at a Fortune 30 company and have been promoted for two consecutive years. I also don't want to use referrals right now because I'm completely unprepared. If you are in job hunt please share your experience.
It has been really bad, I am a 2024 graduate, doing internship since 3rd year and continous that too and I was getting paid well in internship(more than full time of some company) hence, I did not sat for on campus placement as no good company were coming and now I graduated in May and thought my company will give PPO but they denied stating that they are only girinf senior folks, so now I have been applying for last 6 months but have not landed any interview despite having this much experience and skill as a fresher, the problem is there are no openings for fresher right now, which sucks.
Since you are trying as a fresher, i want share a small suggestion. Check with colleagues of the company where you did intern, friends and relatives if there are any openings. Since you were saying the pay was good it might be a decent company. So check for openings in other teams
The company is a startup and doing good but it's still small of around 35 people and yes I am trying to reach friends and relatives but it's not working, there are no openings only, but yeah I am confidence that once the opportunity comes I am gonna grab it. Thanks for the suggestion btw.
Yes. It's been the same for me. It was better in March, Apr and May but since June it's been really bad atleast for me. Also doesn't help that I have months gap on my resume. Exhausted honestly.
