Pristyn Care-too many troubles?
What's happening at Pristyn Care? Hearing a lot about gaps in their business models and how they are pushing people to opt for surgeries!
Context: Took my parent for a Piles checkup as the issue was flaring up. The first thing they checked was my insurance coverage details. The consulting doctor (more of a quack) recommended immediate surgery as 'it may lead to much greater complication if left untreated'. Inwas ready to go for it but my spouse recommended we see more doctors. Both the other doctors (very reputed) said this doesnt need a surgery and that my parent would need some rest and palliative care and that it would be ok in a few weeks. This is what exactly happened. Funny part - this was two years ago, but since my number was the registered number, I still get periodic calls asking me if I had decided to go ahead with the surgery and that Piles can only be managed with a surgery. The founder in any case, from his prolific Linkedin usage, seems like a righteous jerk who would rather believe that employees should not be expect compensation but be as loyal as dogs.
My dad needed cataract surgery, and is a jugaadu deal seeker. He contacted them, they hatched some deal where we'd give some money to Pristyn, they'd overcharge the insurance company and give us a kickback. Totally icky stuff. I told my dad ain't gonna be on my insurance, you can play Byju's with your own. Eventually we went by the book and got sorted.
No idea about the veracity of this post.
But just few things i see.
Post of the founder again surfaced after so many months on grapevine, that too in 3-4 channel abusing the founder etc.
Then same post again went viral on linkedin wherein multiple people posting the same screenshot.
Now this post where the issue happened 2 years back and you decided to post it today itself.
I dont know anyone working in the organisation, nor do i care. Just some observations from today itself.
Palliative care is a wrong term I guess - I think you meant "conservative management" - as in treatment without surgery.
Palliative care revolves around providing supportive care for terminally ill patients or those suffering from life threatening conditions.
Thankyou. I stand corrected. And learnt something new today π
That guy with turban - the founder. Is such a d**head himself
This is not one off case, this is their core-competence - unethically looting patients & exploiting Indian medical system.

Some founders are so toxic that their business outcomes can be very well predicted. As expected, Pristyn is showing its real colors.
If you donβt know, the guy in-between is famous worldwide(saw it floating on Blind, Reddit) for his hi...
A few months ago I had posted here how Pristyn care was completely a sham and exploited fears.
The reality as reported - https://www-livemint-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.livemint.com/companies/news/inside-the-chaos-at-pristyn-care/am...
Just gonna leave it here. Never gonna join Pristyn Care even if they offer 10X.
Acko health insurance looks good on paper. Any reviews on their claims process and claim settlement experience?
Is it worth consideration?
