Job Switching Advice

Hi, I have been working in Infosys for past 3.5yrs. my starting salary wad 5lpa and now it's 8lpa. I feel I should be compensated more based on work that I put into my projects for which the most feasible option would be to switch. Hence, I need some advice related to job-switching from fellow software engineers who have already been able to do that. My skills are Java-spring boot , react , sql, github copilot, kubernetes, What other skills do I need to know to be able switch comfortably? Kindly suggest some websites where I should be applying from. In the coming days maybe after March would be good time to apply, don't you think?

What scope do I have in product based companies? TIA

You can get good

  1. Create a good resume. No matter how many jobs you apply for, it won't be fruitful without a good resume.

  2. Start with neetcode 150. Don't rush through it, take your time and prepare well, these will be helpful for at least the next 5-10 yrs in your career.

  3. once you are confident start applying via multiple portals like LinkedIn, InstaHyre, Consultant Recruitment Firms like HuntingCube and via referrals.

  4. Check if any interview experiences are found for the company you are currently interviewing at leetcode or glassdoor or geeks for geeks.

  5. Try to get multiple offers if you feel you deserve more or if the company is not offering much.

Currently the job market is bad for people with <5 yrs experience, be patient, keep on grinding and keep on applying.

Good luck.

Apply on LinkedIn, Instahyre. Start applying now, it takes time to find a good offer. Any new skill that you add without experience will hold less value than what you've worked on. Unless you can pull it off in the interview - saying you've worked on this before. Good luck!
