I can relate to your pain. I lost my uncle 8 years back. I couldn't express my feelings then(don't know how to in front of people) but, everytime I remember him now, I feel sad he isn't there with me.
I had gotten more love and care from him than my own parents and his love for me was more than he gave to his own child. He was my godfather.
I have lost so many people, but, his absence is the thing I hate the most in my life! I wish if he was here, he could help me out with the shit I am going through! When everyday is a despair, he would've been a glimmer of hope for me

@Shif , this does get easier, but you don't stop missing him!

If you need someone to talk to who's not judgemental, I am here. Take care!

Heartfelt condolences... I can't imagine the pain of losing a parent. Grieving is a normal part of the process.. It's natural to have so many emotions and changes... Take as much time as you need to vent/cry/mourn/express your feelings. If you can't find anyone to talk to, just take some time off the world. Shut the noise, go to a park or some place green, sit down, write how you feel, cry your heart out and remember that if there is even a miniscule chance that your father can see you, he'd want you to be happy.. So live your life for him, for your mother and for that sibling who might be equally sad about the loss... You'll miss him for sure, but he'll always live in your hearts and in those bittersweet memories! 🥰

I'm extremely sorry for your loss 😔 @Shif . I lost my father 7 years ago and can feel your pain. But trust me, time will slowly heal the pain and you'll feel better. Your father will always be on your mind but it'll get easier to handle life. Trust me.

It's tough my man. Had almost the same thing happen to me 4 years ago and you suddenly feel saddled with a lot of responsibility. Please find a good friend or a therapist to simply vent to. Do not keep venting to the same person else they will find it difficult as well but lean on your close family in these times (siblings, mother). Grow your relationship with them. You get better at handling it with time but you will manage. For now, just cry and let your feelings calm down and figure out things slowly. Take your time and try to renew your trust in God and lean on him. Best of luck mate and we here on grapevine are always there for you

Exactly fee months back we lost our dad he was too ~50 nothing much has happened, it takes time am just 20 years old, and after that nothing was feeling good or right

Gave some time to family cheering them in every scenarios first few weeks and months were dead silent

But am feeling better now it would take time but take care of yourself and your families ❤️‍🩹

Been there @Shif . Sorry for your loss. Hang in there. Time heals. What worked for me is diverting my mind into studies or work. Try to be strong, as your family needs each other's support in these tough times.

Hey @Shif sorry for your loss. I suffered something similar when I was in my college final year with 1 semester to go.

You have to take care yourself and your mother. You can’t imagine the pain she is going through right now.

You may find solace in some friends or siblings but for you mom, it’s gonna be so difficult.

Suggest you to do few things

  • Be assertive (Relatives or people may try to bully you but be assertive in what you communicate)

  • Be decisive (Consult with you mom and or closed relatives but take decisive decision on your own. Don’t delegate)

  • Speak up (Speak up if you feel someone is politely talking something wrong about your family. respecting elders doesn’t mean to keep your mouth shut)

  • Try having lots of fun because that’s gonna help you overcome this pain.
