MBA at a BLACKI IIM after becoming a PM?

Is it recommended to go for an MBA at a BLACKI IIM after having close to 1 year of Product Management Experience as an APM and PM at early stage startups?

Why are you doing an MBA now? Does it add any value to your profile?

What if the college is MDI Gurgaon? For someone who has been in an APM role for 6 months after working as a business analyst for 2.5yrs? Asking for a friend

Still go for it. MDI is a good one.
Anyway in the next 12-18 months, nothing gonna happen in PM world. All focus will be on saving the business and surviving at any cost. Salary uptick will also be limited, if that’s what is bothering your friend.
So better go, complete your final formal education and then come back and kill it. There is a whole life left to make money.

I have a friend with a similar profile, he's going for Kozhikode.

Even I was planning to switch to APM internally but going to XLRI now.

Depends on what type of startup you are in and what college pedigree you have.

PM is a job, where you learn many things on the job. If you feel you are learning a lot already, there's no point in doing an MBA.

You already have real world experience of working in a startup. MBA to me is just a really expensive networking program. You don't learn to build business or anything about product management there, you learn how to manage a lot of things and network with people.

But still if you wanna go to IIM for the brand and tag it brings, there's nothing wrong with it.

But have a clear plan about what do you wanna achieve out of an MBA.
