McK suicide case

Sincere request to all the so-called linkedin and twitter “influencers” to stop literally mooching off the dead soul to create content & gyaan around mental health. Please stop naming him and spare some dignity/privacy and respect for him?

It is enough of a shame that his name has been revealed in public. Why are we deteriorating it further? Is there no empathy left?

Legally too, btw the case is under investigation.

Knew someone would say that. Not sure if you noticed but this is an “anonymous” platform. I have no mileage to gain here buddy :)

It was just rant coming from a place of disgust. No “logic” to be applied here :)

Have literally seen people talking about this ..saying how work stress takes a toll on you and how it did for the victim . Later went on to put their smiling pic along with the post on LinkedIn .. it just stunts me that how could you try to leach off and worry about engagement using sensitive topic of metal health

There was one shameless bugger who tagged the victim’s linkedin profile on his 10-pointer post along with a picture of himself at the end (looking at the horizon) - just to get maximum engagement. Stooped so damn low

There shouldn't be shame or disgust in taking his name. Sushant's suicide was a turning point. Similarly folks want this suicide incident to be a turning point as well. I would rather see it as a crucial topic which got highlighted by this suicide.

It's a matter of privacy. Putting myself in the shoes of the grieving, I wouldn't want the name/photo of someone from my family or friends being circulated on social media like this. It is a constant reminder of them taking such a step for certain reasons.

Unfortunately, people aren't making those posts to make a point (only very few are exceptions). You do not need the name or photo of the person to actually make a point.

And what turning point do folks want with their own smiling photo at the end of the post?

Unfortunately, unless the emotional population (vast majority) stop showering these posts with likes and comments, the influencers aren't stopping. I just ignore and scroll past these posts and hope that others do the same.
