Microsoft vs ARM Offer
I have accepted an offer from Microsoft for different location and I am planning to not join it. I have a similar offer from ARM in my current location. Previously I was ok to migrate to a new location but now I don't think I need to. I don't want to actually leave the MS offer but when I look at my 1.5 yrs old son I feel staying at my current location with ARM makes better decisions. MS has offered me flexibility but ARM has ensured I will stay where I am now. My wife is also working with ARM. I don't want to leave my family and stay in a new location without them.
Heart says MS. Brain says ARM.
Should I try to convince Microsoft HR and HM to give me a position in the current location? If yes, any tips on how?
If I refuse to join, will MS blacklist or not consider me next time?

Tell them that due to some unforeseen circumstances or for caregiving you are suddenly unable to relocate. Request them to let you work in your city’s office. According to some MS friends they are relatively flexible but still, try it.
