Moving to Tier2 city

Hey Bangalore peeps, This questions is for the peeps having a corpus of more than 1 CR Whats stopping you from moving to a tier2 city where you can easily leave the chaos of Bangalore and give your children enough opportunities?

With the corpus of more than 1 CR you can easily get a SWP of 50-90K monthly and thats enough for a comfortable life in a Tier 2 city.

Bro, 1 CR is not much in today's era, even in tier2 city. Any decent home crosses 1.5cr here easily.

Yeah, but its a starting point. it would not be the case where you would stop working, but work would be lite, not chasing anything but anything to keep you occupied.

Limiting cash inflow is very risky. We are all like fish. Most people cant survive outside thier environment. With Zero new cash flow, its very difficult to survive. Men without any work, will go crazy and end up doing something they regret.

I came to a tier-2 city and got frustrated in a few hours. The city is in Uttar Pradesh.

Chaos, insane population density, people spitting around, open drains, flies and insects attacking you in mass, bad roads, low average speed on old narrow roads, all drove me mad.

I love Bengaluru now.
East Bangalore/Whitefield is heaven for me. Like minded people, cleaner streets, no crazy bumps, average speed is still good on two wheeler and if i avoid peak hours, insects sanitization is not a concern, gated communities give good quality of life.

I think we live in two different bangalores,
My neighbours have only contacted me for complaints, nothing else.
Have few friends but they live very distant. No point in defending all that

Because it's Irreversible.

Heard it on Succession HBO, "That money is too high to keep you doing a job but too low to do anything else you want. You are the poorest rich person"

Secondly, I might have to take a hit on my income if I move out. And if I want to earn more later, companies won't hire me easily for a hike post 35. Competition for this cohort has gone insane. Lose momentum & you risk becoming Rayadu (talented than KL Rahul but can't get a break). High income careers are becoming short very fast. If one earns 30L+ before 30, he probably won't last till he is 45 unless he is extremely talented and moves up the ladder.

Thirdly, with high corpus already and high income too, life in Bangalore is not that an issue. You can live lavishly and save lavishly. Better to procrastinate on a life change if it ain't broken. If one isn't happy, move within BLR to a better location, spend more to fix that (like hobbies, vacations etc).

How to earn in tier 2 city? 1 Cr is too less. Atleast 3 cr + house + fund for children education/marriage should be there

Depends on what life you want . Simple life 1 cr is enough. But you want to enjoy doing traveling etc then it won't work .

What's stopping everyone from working in a Tier 2 or tier 3 city?

I know a lot of companies are hiring for roles with competitive offers that are in sync with Bengaluru, Pune, Gurgaon, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Why not stay away from metros given the right opportunities? Would love to hear your thoughts.
