Need help to get into tech!

I am looking to transition into a tech career, but don't have much experience in the in-demand tech stacks. I am active in open-source development on GitHub ( I've used python quite a bit before). I have a non-CS degree from one of the top colleges in India.

I understand that things are a bit bleak with the recession around the corner, but I'm happy to work on side projects.

Could anyone help me out?

Choose what you want to do - software development or something else. Choos a language/framework/tools and start making stuff (small projects). Once you are comfortable, do some OS contribution. Build a good LinkedIn profile, solid resume with open source contribution mention in it and reach out to folks on LinkedIn if they can refer you. If good with competitive coding, Attempt hiring test on codechef, hackerrank, or orher platforms.
