Need urgent help..not getting calls :/

I have total 6 years of experience working in product strategy roles in a couple of known unicorns and from tier 1 engg and MBA colleges.

My team was dissolved back in nov 2022. I have been on a break since then as i had to oversee construction of our rental property back in my hometown. It was long pending. It is a vital income stream for my family.

I have been trying for a job for last 2 weeks. I haven't been able to get interviews aligned in product / strategy domain.

Now I am getting restless. I don't know why hiring POCs are not reverting to my interests. Need help here folks. Am I in a soup due to career gap? What can I do to overcome this situation? Good ideas are highly welcome :)

2 weeks brah? 2 weeks? This is as good as those Quora dudes asking if you can live comfortably in Bangalore with one crore CTC. But seriously - keep at it, it may take weeks or months. I've been trying for 7 months to move while I had a job and 1.5 months now since layoff. It won't happen immediately. Keep at it, add headhunters, directly reach out to hiring managers and HRs with one pagers on how you'll help. Also just add some fake entrepreneurial thing to show the gap.

There was a time when recruiters would approach even when I wasn't applying🥲so when I am aggressively applying and hardly anyone is responding back...it felt like a setback...probably my profile ain't worthy enough now or the market is really damp.

Market ki c padi hai, all of us remember that time. 2021 was madness, woh bakwas nahi hogi vapas. Also don't get bogged down, keep at it. One pagers helped me get 3 founder replies for head marketing roles, product strategy to you can pull some serious punches for targeted companies.

2 weeks? Are you Ambani Adani?

Takes longer time, 2 weeks is not even enough for doing a/b testing on your resume.

Be open to a wide set of jobs which fit well within your skill set.

Startup scenes is dull currently, so after 6 years, i am assuming your salary bar would be pretty high, so that will dampen your chances a lot.

You will need to work on your target companies with target roles. On a safer side, pick a fairly large nos of companies.

Simple rule is, larger your opportunity size , higher is the chance of converting atleast 1
