Notice period

I'm getting an offer from a company and they are saying to come early . The notice period in my existing company is 60 days . Do companies relax their notice period from 60 to 30 days .

How can we do that ?

What happens if we don't serve the notice period?

Buy back the notice period. Compensate that by asking new employeer for a joining bonus

  1. Ask other company for buy back. Usually companies buy back 1 month
  2. Ask your manager or HR for early reliving. if you have good terms with your manager then this route could also work.

I clearly don't see how some companies fire over a call and 0 days notice, and some with such 60 days.

Notice period Issue

I got a offer letter from one company.. Earlier I told them notice period is negotiable 60days(official 90 days)... Now They have mentioned 30 days joining only on letter. What to do in this situation.. my interviews went well.

Is the 60 days notice period too much?

Hi Folks I recently got an offer and the notice period over there is 60 days. In my past companies it was 30 days everywhere. Just wanted to know your opinion.

60 days is common. Avoid 90 in any case.
