Paying higher / lower in Indian Startup scene

I'm starting a new company and am assembling a team, in all my previous startups had like 7 people working but now everyone is settled and few have retired coz made too much from the exits so back to assembling a new team :p

As in all my previous startups I paid an average of 40Lpa an 2-3% ESOPs to all the early team they made insane wealth. But now I'm thinking of going lower and meet the realities of the market rather than paying higher why not paying the market rate?

I have been taking multiple interviews and experienced this people consider higher salaries to be a lie they want to earn dirt-cheap salaries and don't trust themselves with what they deserve and in the end ended up mocking me. One of the senior people that I interviewed thought 3lakhs per month was very high no-one pays that much. Same goes for an intern who I decided to pay 1lakh per month thought it's not possible and ghosted me thinking I'm scamming him ( his job was to meet high profile people make connection with different founders by going to parties and events regularly )!

My new startup is not in crypto but in something unique!

What do you'll think should I pay people less as that's what they think they deserve?

What's your new startup about? Any roles for interns in the tech domain? I'm a senior CS student. I wanna work with some senior engineers to learn more so if there's any opportunity then let me know 😁

Am not looking for interns a small team of like 5 people is fine for me. Looking for following roles if you're extremely skilled:

  1. Developer ( must be good at mobile-app development stack undecided will depend on me and the developer's decision )
  2. Sales / marketing ( get the KPIs sorted )
  3. Marketing digital ( get us heavily on facebook and instagram will help me with deciding the marketing strategy to penetrate the market )
  4. Legal / Compliance ( will be full time need someone young )
  5. CEO ( Will take executive decisions when I leave as the CTO and pass the baton )

My discord is "roct". If you happen to have any junior roles related to web, hit me up :)

Can’t see a relavant opening. But I was pursuing pharmacy and taught myself development to build a startup idea that soon faded. And now I am looking for role of frontend developer for connections and work at a small startup across multiple roles to prepare for future. Would you be interested for discussion?

Something's off here, you got ppl everywhere looking for hikes and here ppl are turning down money. Not just once but even an intern turned down shit, yeah my bs meters going on hard right to the extreme

Saw your twitter and the moment I saw you had your own tg bot and trading and shit, everything sorta made sense

Folks do your fucking research !!

It’s about capable people with skills I don’t pay high for people without skills. Most of the folks looking around for hike aren’t skilled enough to back their ego.

I pay the highest buck for what I want. Pedigree doesn’t really matter to me. I want people who get stuff done.. cost doesn’t matter

Downball?
