PhonePe and Swiggy made up forced PIPs

Indian unicorn companies these days are doing forced PIPs to remove folks who are a high salary as per last year or have conflicts and all. Employee benefits being reduced left right and center. Environment has become toxic. This is being done for IPO. Watch out guys.

I was part of the PIP at Swiggy. The way they treated me was pathetic. Forced me to put my papers.

Have offers from phonepe and super money (flipkart) any suggestions which to join? Phonepe is paying way more if I consider their stocks (buybacks)

I don't think joining in current situation is good genuinely. Rest is your choice.

Nobody knows who would be screwed but most vulnerable person in the team will be whether new hire or old. Managers tactic at its highest.

There is absolutely no scene of forced PIPs in phonepe. It is happening with dead weight employees who are not worth the salary they are paid. My flatmates are in phonepe and it’s true that few benefits have been reduced but 2 of them both in different teams have not seen any cases of forced PIPs. If your performance is not good, it isn’t a forced PIP.

So you are talking about phonepe from 2nd hand knowledge with so much conviction. Nice. BTW are PIPs in your organization public?

Have few friends in Swiggy (Strategy, Prog Mgr roles) - didn't hear any such stuff. Workload has increased, yes. But forced PIPs - not sure. Maybe they are simply offloading sh#t on the devs and screwing them over. Sad stuff if that's the case

PIP on the raise at Swiggy, saw couple of post with good fellas leaving. can someone confirm or deny this fact that PIP is used a weapon to downsize the teams in order to show profit for upcoming IPO next year?
