GooglePay ke interview mein I told them that unlike in GooglePay the money getting stuck issue doesn’t come in PhonePe so that’s a great area of improvement. They took it to their heart and didn’t select me 😂

As pointed in another comment it's a north south thing most probably. Most merchants and users in Hyderabad & Bangalore that I came across use PhonePe. Most merchants (not sure about the users in North) I came across in MP & Delhi use PayTM.

Please note it talks about MAU of the merchant app not the consumer app that you and I use to make UPI payments. On the consumer app side , Phone PE i suppose was always ahead given their lions share in UPI market
