PM Modi Tenure

How would you rate PM Modi’s tenure for the last 10 years on a scale of 1 to 10? Are you really happy with the progress or BJP oversale?

Just a question, i have in my mind Can Modi or BJP govt remove Secularism word from the Constitution?

They can but the word added in preamble isn’t why country is secular. There are lots of provisions within the constitution that enable it and secularism as whole is part of the basic structure. Meaning, removing from the preamble isn’t going to change the secular character of the country.

Yes it won't, but it will be a big step I was always like in confusion why it was added since it was not there in the starting

6/10. Would have given 7 or 8 if they didn't spread hatred against minorities, allow mob lynchings to rise, or did something about rampant corruption.

Apart from divide and rule that they're playing with caste and religion, operation is decent. But even Congress could have done that without all the negatives I mentioned.

I am really tired of this patticular narrative. "BJP divides people!" How the hell did they do that? Congress is out there campaining crazily using words like Hindu Muslim SC ST OBC and what not and no one is batting an eye. Farmers are protesting and are rasing Khalistani chants and no one says anything. The only thing that BJP does is use the words Jai Shree Ram and suddenly everyone goes crazy. Not a single policy is made for a pariculat religion or caste. Why is BJP being targetes when Congress has been the worst in this case?

Only if the government would give salaried people some benefits seeing how we make up the big chunk of tax paid into the country

CosmicLlama

so true... if you are poor or in business modi sarkar period was probably the best time ever. If you a re a salaried employee, its your second worst time, after 1980-90.

BubblyJellybean

Well we all probably don't want second worst, or even last worst, we just want things to get better for the salary guy.

Wasteful and ineffective use of resources . Extreme corruption at the upper level , literally murderers and rapists at powerful positions . Pretending to be blind to any violence / crime happening in the country . Don't give shit if china invades . Have made enemies with every neighbour possible . Wasting army personnel to support propaganda .

We are doomed but everyone likes to pretend as if sab changa si . Anyways I have given up expecting anything good , I also now like to pretend .

Booming stock market, resolved big disputes, economy rising even during world recession, good foriegn alliance and strong decision making leaders. What is not to like about them? 9/10. One point less only because they are soft on protestors who use illegal means to protest. Like road blocks by farmers and Shaheen Bagh. Disturbing daily life for personal benefit is kind of a crime...should have taken strict action.

4/10. Hardly delivered on any of the Mega Promises. Bullet trains - remember anybody?

Bro, They cleared out some big disputes, be it Ram Mandir or Art. 370 which no other political partu had the guts to touch. And as for bullet trains, it is under construction. Check out Mumbai-Ahemdabad high speed rail corridor.

I would give it a 9/10 given the other choices that we have. The man is working well and i hope he gets some fundamental issues like rising Islamic populations and fundamentalism sorted before this term ends. Else another partition is on the cards before we die.

Younger folks keep saying that BJP plays the religion card. Secular dumbasses don't understand that Islam is the number one threat to our way of life and prosperity. Nothing else even comes closer. BJP is just trying to wake up the masses.

They’re good. However the tax system needs to be revised.
