I'm a 26-year-old software engineer based in Bangalore, earning ₹25,000 per month after 3.5 years of experience. While my family isn't fully dependent on me at the moment, this situation is temporary (I'd prefer not to go into details).
I’m seeking advice from those in their 30s, 40s, or older.
Should I stick to a safe path by switching to a more stable job, or should I take a risk and try something different? Honestly, I’m scared to take risks because most of my past decisions haven’t worked out well, and I don’t have any significant achievements in my career so far. This lack of success has shaken my confidence.
That said, I still have a small belief in myself and my ability to make it work, but fear holds me back. With my family eventually becoming more dependent on me, and other responsibilities like my sister’s wedding coming up, I don’t have a lot of time to figure things out.
What does your experience say? How should I approach this situation?
