Ridiculous standards in dating apps.
Saw an acquaintance using bumble. The men in profiles literally look highly successful, From IIT, IIM, NIFT , Founder and what not.
It was really raining overqualified guys on the platform.
Felt like real waste for the first time and thought that hot shot guys like them couldnt land a date, a commoner is out of question.
What do you all say guys ???? That platform instantly makes me introspect where I failed in life.
Most of the overqualified men aren't real in life. Everyone is using IIT/IIM tag when then Don't have one
Its a numbers game. Iv had a decade long experience with these apps. You got to be ultra patient and have your soft skills A game available.
Dating via dating apps is flawed. It's designed to keep you single by showing you better prospects (for girls) and hiding you from the pack until you pay heavily sometimes even that doesn't work (for guys). So just give up already on them for your own sanity. There are numerous studies/TED talks over the internet to prove this.
Instead, go try out talking to people irl, meet people at some hobby class and build something from there. This has worked so much better for me than any of the dating apps (not that they haven't worked, the success rate is better irl).
Just be confident and have good conversation skills and be slightly good looking (lol).
