Samsung blr Vs Cashfree, which to join?
Profile at cashfree: backend developer CTC: 32 lpa Base: 15 Variable: 2 Esop: 15 (4 yr equally divided)
Profile at SRIB: Developer CTC: 20 Base: 14 joining: 1 Retention: 5(4 yr equally divided)
Priority: WLB> learning> comp
although my inclination is little towards the research side, considering the hike 1 after yr it's like 10%(samsung) and 50%(Cashfree), if the market remains the same.
Not able to figure out which to join 😟.... any suggestions?

Samsung wlb is next level but you'll be working like a sarkari person. No growth there, no good projects. Ppl only go there to play badminton etc

I have cleared, their professional test, still won't get good projects?

Their criteria for ppo is to clear professional test. Obviously it doesn't matter. Also 99% of projects in Samsung is shit, so regardless of the project you get, you are mostly doomed. As I said, people go to office only to play badmintom

Samsung if you want to prepare for masters or any exams. Also you can chill for a year or two since you would have been tired studying for last 15-16 years
Cashfree if you want to experience building some cool stuff, okay for extended working hours

Not sure if your CTC calculation is correct. If your are getting ESOPs worth 15l (4 yrs equally divided), your annual ESOP earning would be 3.75lpa. So your CTC at cash free will be 20.75. Use the same logic to calculate your CTC at Samsung

Yeah ur right, if u see in this way. I stated how it's represented in the offer letter.

Wow, I'm surprised in that case. If the offer letter says 32L CTC with this breakup they need to hire a better HR team. It is gross misrepresentation of facts in that case

Samsung

A little more context about ur conclusion will be helpful.

Samsung me 2 saal reh bhai baaki phir baad me dekhna

My ex roomie used to work in Samsung. Trust me, they have work worse than local municipality offices and work culture as good as gram panchayat. Join if you want to chill & don't have big aspirations. I don't know the other company, so can't compare.

What's your YOE?

I'm a fresher, and graduated just a few weeks ago.

If you plan to do masters then go for a brand name samsung>>cashfree; if you're optimizing for learning then go for cashfree, fintechs aren't going anywhere anytime soon, they're just going to get bigger from here
