The usual, but also sad
Any ways to end something like this? Atleast for our kids in the future, kinda worried about, where things are heading tbh.
She got 97 percentile and didn't get in BLACKI, koi GEM ka dukh Ms Pandey ko btaye. Reservation would always be debatable topic from 50 yrs from now. How GV'iners see this, would be interesting to know
Neither every Dalit Is inside IIM not every General Male/female is out side IIM. PEOPLE JUST FIND EXCUSE TO HIDE THEIR INCOMPETENCY.
It's not about incompetency, one with 70% gets in but another with 97% is left out. Where's the question of incompetency. This just feels as an easy way out for the ones who get reservation
Just intellectual performance can't be the parameter.... A room full of 90% scorers who think that someone beaten to death for entering Temple is horseshit... Representation from every circle is important...
Unfortunately we can never abolish reservation on any means. In modern world these people feel happy when they get to know some people will not get seats despite having hardwork.
If seats are proportionate to the population of each category, why is there so much debate about reservation?
Consider competing within your category, where individuals have had similar privileges for centuries. When someone from a reserved category gets selected, they have excelled within their category, demonstrating their capability.
Why do general category individuals compare themselves to those who historically have been denied basic rights such as education, property ownership, temple access, and who were treated as untouchables?
Even if reservation is abolished, it wouldn't necessarily benefit the general category significantly. For instance, if the cut-off for the general category is currently 99%, removing reservations won't lower it drastically. It might only decrease to around 98.5% because there are still thousands of students scoring between 98-100 percentile, while seats remain limited.
We need to ensure representation from all sections of society, including tribes from remote forest areas and individuals whose parents perform menial jobs. Everyone deserves the right to education and opportunities for advancement.
Additionally, reservations are designed to address historical injustices and provide a level playing field for those who have been marginalized. It's about creating an inclusive society where everyone has an equal chance to succeed, regardless of their background. By supporting reservation policies, we are working towards a more equitable society where the success of an individual is not predetermined by their socio-economic status or caste.
Reservation should be increased. 2000 years of shame cannot go in 70 years.

First of all, I don't support diversity recruiting. I think there are plenty of things that are completely unfair about it. I am GEM myself. I think there are some forms of diversity recruiting initiatives out there that shouldn't exist....
I recently came across some articles.

Hey folks, have been thinking if MBA is what I should do next. I'm keen on cracking ISB.
What is the GMAT score I should aim to get and in general what does it take to get into ISB ?
If only I knew this beforehand, I would have studied harder to crack IIM Rohtak.
But on a serious note, is anyone aware what criteria they use because of which the ratio is so skewed.
