Wanted to know what do the Tech guys think of a Scrum Master? Did you have a better experience in reference to adoption of agile or was it just another non tech coordinator types role?
Scrum master is hardly anywhere in India a non-tech guy, just like we hardly follow true Agile. Many companies have a tech team member playing the dual role of scrum master. Where they have scrum master, they act more as a liaising-cum-businessAnalyst role.
The senior guy in the team/tech lead acts as the scrum master nearly all the time
@Elon_Musk Exactly. It must be the biggest myth among newbies that scrum master role is played by some non-tech guy. In all likelihood, it is just an additional responsibility, primary one still being the technical role.
